Integrating spiritual practices into our daily lives is essential for developing and maturing disciples. We encourage a variety of spiritual practices including daily devotionals, scripture reading, prayer and meditation. The Bishop of the Virginia United Methodist Church, Young Jin Cho, has challenged congregations to spend one hour a day in spiritual practices. He encourages reflection on our practices in terms of what it says about the God we serve if we are not willing to spend 1 hour a day in prayer or spiritual practices. Deepening our faith will better equip us to achieve our mission to make Disciples of Christ.
